Tres Semanas Más

      Wow! Only three more weeks until my plane takes off and i begin my journey to La Paz Bolivia.  I can't begin to describe the feelings that i have been experiencing and the thoughts that have been racing through my mind.  I honestly wish i could skip all the farewells and just be there already.  I don't like the overwhelming feeling that i feel every time that i see family and friends, knowing that this will be the last time that i see them for a year.  Also knowing that i can't spend time with everyone that I would like to before i go.  It's sad but i guess ill just have to stick it out.

      All that aside, I am extremely excited to begin this journey and chapter in my life.  I have know clue what to expect.  I just know it will be an adventure of a lifetime and that there will be many challenges along the way.  

      I thought i would leave a list of things that i hope to get out of my trip:

1. I hope to gain a better understanding of the Bolivian Culture, 2. I hope to gain a better appreciation for the  things i have been blessed with in life, 3. I hope to build on my Spanish and become fluent, 4.  I hope to gain a stronger conviction in helping and loving the poor, 5. I hope to grow in my faith and understanding of God's love, 6. I hope to live contently in whatever situation God puts me in throughout life and trust that he will always give me the strength i need to make it through.

This is how many indigenous women (cholitas) make there money. Selling clothing and food on the streets.  Alot of the time its barely enough to get by.
